Roots Cares Working Together to Help Haiti
In total, along with the Canadian government contribution*, each dollar donated by a Roots employee will actually be quadrupled. That means Roots has so far generated more than $60,000, all of which will go to the Canadian Red Cross for their work in Haiti.
We feel it's important for Roots to help as much as possible.
- We recently launched the ‘Help Haiti’ leather bracelet to raise money for humanitarian relief. Made in our factory in Toronto, Canada from 100% recycled scrap leather, the bracelets retail for $5 each with 100% of the proceeds going to the Canadian Red Cross.
- Given that the quake in Haiti left many people with only the clothes on their backs, Roots also donated 60 cartons of clothing that was airlifted to Haiti as part of a large shipment.
- Next week, the Roots Yoga Studio in Toronto will be devoting a day to Haiti relief. On February 10, all instructors will be donating their time/income that day to the Canadian Red Cross for humanitarian efforts while all proceeds from students that day will also go to the Red Cross.
